The Traitors: Anywhere is the ultimate game of deception played entirely over WhatsApp with up to 30 players.
Invite everyone from the only person who loads the office dishwasher, to the colleague who doesn’t know the dishwasher exists (the true Traitor!). It’s time to find out who will emerge victorious.
Multiple days of drama that bleed into your day. Alliances formed while the kettle boils. Suspicions aired over lunch. And for remote workers, a team get-together that requires no travel plans.
Once the Traitors have been unmasked, your team will want to play it all over again.
Scaling Up: How to Play with 30+ Players
Individual games of The Traitors: Anywhere are capped at 30 players; larger groups can easily be accommodated by running multiple concurrent games.
For example, a group of 120 players can play as 4 groups of 30, 6 groups of 20, and so on.
You’ll be able to compare teams’ scores and crown the overall winners based on the gold won at the end.
The Ultimate Showdown & Redemption
Once the first games wrap up, keep the momentum going by shuffling the groups for another game!
This will ensure that everyone gets to keep playing and gives everyone a chance at a comeback win.
You can structure your tournament any way you like, but we highly recommend a final banishment game where the finalists from each game face off in a grand finale to claim the prize pot, while the players who were Banished or Murdered gather in their own secondary redemption game.
Players can purchase their own individual passes to be entered into a second game, or the organiser can purchase multiple passes for all players simultaneously.
Tournament-Style Rounds
Each game of The Traitors: Anywhere is unique, even if you play twice with the same players, so don’t despair if you’re Banished or Murdered early in the game. There’s more fun to be had by playing multiple times!
Players can purchase their own individual passes to be entered into a second game, or the organiser can purchase multiple passes for all players simultaneously.
How you structure a tournament is up to you, but you may want to use the in-game leaderboards to help organise players for rematches.
Leaderboards and Prize Pots
Each game of The Traitors: Anywhere has its own internal leaderboard, and large bookings with multiple games can have an overall leaderboard that shows the prize pots of individual games.
If you like, you could use the overall leaderboard to organise follow-up tournament rounds, such as pairing winners for head-to-head finals, and combining the Banished and Murdered players for a redemption round. Roles do not carry over from previous games and new Traitors will be assigned.
Individual player scores are calculated using the total gold in the game's prize pot and the number of players remaining upon elimination or victory. For multiple games, only one player will be the ultimate champion. This will be whoever shares the largest prize pot with the fewest number of co-winners.
